JOB PURPOSE
Under supervision will instruct swim courses to children six months and up, including adults.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Essential Duties:
~You will be responsible to teach individual and small group swim instruction. Group size maximum is 3 students.
~ Enforce pool rules and state health and safety laws; interpret pool rules and policies for pool patrons.
~ Respond to emergency situations, administer first aid and primary care as needed, and complete accident/incident forms.
Marginal Duties:
~ Perform other special duties as assigned.

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS
Education, Experience and Licenses:
- Requires American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor (WSI) License, Lifeguard Training (LGT) Certificate, First Aid and Safety, and CPR certifications.
-Completion of sufficient education for successful job performance.
-Must possess a valid New Jersey motor vehicle operator's license and must have valid approved working papers at time of appointment.
-Must have reliable source of transportation.

Maintain positive attitude and demeanor under stress, provide leadership in supervising aquatic's activities, earn the respect of participants, work harmoniously with others, develop interest in aquatics programs and encourage participation, and handle emergency situations.
